My brother is expecting his second child.

This little girl or boy is due only days after his first was born.

Impeccable timing, bro.

I’m on my way to visit my brother and his family in Pennsylvania.

They made a few special requests: Bluebell ice cream and boudain.

Not all airport and airline personnel are aware that I can carry on dry ice.

I have three separate printouts from the airline, TSA, and the FAA saying I can.

It’s been fun.

Fun night out and new experiences

 Round-trip travel certificates

 Pretty flowers

 Gorgeous weather

Muah ha ha ha

This is my lone survivor of a pond catastrophe.

Overnight my pond had drained to less than 6 inches of water.  There is no sign of a leak.  I can’t find any cracks or holes.

My little school of fish had survived a year and were growing beautifully.  I was even finding baby goldfish.

This strong guy will be living inside with me until spring.  Fun fact: he was gold with white lips when I first got him.  The white color began spreading last spring until he was completely white.

I had inherited this particular pond when I moved into my home.  I’ve never like its design.  I think I’ll hire someone to redo the small area for me this winter when it will hopefully be cheaper.

I bought this cute little dress pattern from Etsy store pinkpoodlebows.  It seemed promising to this novice seamstress, and I’m happy with the results -though not with this lo-res photo.  I’m sending this dress off to my little niece Rosalyn.  I’ll post any modeling pics I receive.

My sister-in-law did send me a picture of Rosalyn with her knit bunny.

She is getting so big.  She and her mom and dad will be off to Colombia next week to visit family.  It’ll be a first trip for Rosalyn and her mom.  I wish I could have gone with them, but I’m counting on my brother to get lots of pictures and video.  Our great-grandmother is still living, so it’ll be pretty special to have Rosalyn meet her great-great-grandmother.

I came home after work the other day to find tiny, perfectly formed toads sitting on my lily pads across the pond. (Note the tadpoles just under the lily pad.)

I love my pond for moments like these.
