I’m 26.

I’m a nurse. I graduated in 2007 with my BSN, and now I work on a busy telemetry unit.  My mom likes to tell people that I help heal broken hearts.

I’ve said I wanted to go back for my MSN.  Now I’m not so sure about that.  My manager keeps throwing her arm over my shoulders and announcing to everyone that she’s grooming me for management.  That I’m sure about.  No.  And no.

When I’m not working overtime, I’m attempting DIY tasks around my house.  The more successful the result, the more likely it will be shared.  If it’s ridiculously bad, I’ll share that, too.

I like to knit, though a current review of my blog would indicate otherwise. I’m that person who convinces herself not to buy those pretty knits in the stores because “I could make that,” even though I’ve yet to make a sweater that I’d wear in public.  I’ve got a new motivation now that my brother will be having a baby next summer – known only (to me) as The Blob.  Next ultrasound may change that.  Or not.

The last couple of years I’ve wanted to learn two things: salsa dancing and guns.  I finally started taking dance classes, and I’ve finally made friends who want to go salsa dancing with me.

I’m trying to make running a regular rather than occasional part of my life . I ran cross-country in high school, and then I kept up the habit throughout college… until nursing school. Now I’m working on developing that discipline again around my ever-changing work schedule. Don’t suggest any 5am runs. That’s not going to happen.
