My roommate and I were in our dorm room talking on my bed. Our room was a long rectangle, and her bed was on the far end – opposite to mine.
Her bed started squeaking in the middle of our conversation. We both stopped and stared as her bed continued to squeak and creak as if someone were bouncing on those rusted coils.
She finally got up and walked over to her bed. Putting her hand out in front of her, she said, “Whoever it is, will you please stop?”
And it stopped.

We have a single room for the dying Do Not Resus patients called the “Lily Room”. Happened twice now that after a patient’s demise hours later, call bell from the Lily Room rang and we couldn’t turn it off. Maintenance couldn’t find any faults as well and so it rang and rang for hours until finally it abruptly stopped.
I heard a female calling me beside my left ear while I was doing my night rounds in my male 5-bedder cubicle and all of them were sleeping. My friend heard it the next night.
My friend heard a loud, sharp, piercing woman’s scream from the last cubicle. Thinking that a patient fell, she ran inside and found all patients safe and sound. She asked one of them if she heard a scream and she told her she heard it coming from the corridor where my friend entered.
Goosebumps every time I think of all these…

Scary! I’ve never had any experiences at work, but some of the older nurses have their stories about “that” room.
