A blogger’s sarcastic response to a statement made by Tehran’s acting prayer leader has become a Facebook event with over 100,000 participants.
The statement? “Many women who do not dress modestly … lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes,” Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi was quoted as saying by Iranian media.
Jen McCreight of Blag Hag challenged women to organize and wear immodest clothes in the name of science to produce tectonic action. You can read her original response here and her clarification here.

Yarn: I picked this up in Vietnam, so I’m not sure what the label says. It is definitely some kind of acrylic blend. I held it double while knitting to get better gauge.
There were many comments about the sizes being small. I knit the 12-month, and I think it looks more like a 3-6mo size.
My birthday gift arrived today from my brother with the following note:
Happy Birthday to my sister, landlord, and Supernatural partner.
I love my brother. He’s the best roommate anyone could ask for. While he doesn’t pay rent, he does more than his share around the house. I never have to ask him to do any of it. He and I have very different schedules, and I often don’t see him much throughout the week. Except for Thursdays. That has become our night due to a TV lineup that we enjoy: The Office, Community, and Supernatural.
Especially Supernatural. That has become a show that I will forever link to him and our time together. I enjoy the show, but I enjoy sharing it with him more.
